A woman dies and two minors are injured after a shooting that occurred this morning in the Bronx

The incident occurred shortly after 5 in the morning, in a building located on East 203rd Street, near Valentine Avenue, in the Bedford Park sector.
Police arrived at the scene and found a 40-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.
She was transferred to Saint Barnabas Hospital where she was declared dead.
An 8-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were also injured. Both were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police sources told us that the fatal victim was the mother of the two injured minors and that the gunman was her boyfriend.
A neighbor in the area who was unaware of the tragedy said she had heard an argument since late at night.
“I listened, but since night they were there, since night… We have to be here and we are going to hit it, and hopefully…”.
The suspect, a man between 30 and 40 years old, who fled the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
