MIAMI.– A madre 51 years old, resident of Hialeahit’s found missing for almost two weeks when she was heading to a beauty salon in that city in Miami-Dade County, and although the family reported the situation to the police, they have not obtained information about her whereabouts.
For this reason, the relatives are requesting the collaboration of the community so that they join the search for the woman and can report any information about the woman’s whereabouts.
Vilma Gil, mother of a five-year-old girl, was last seen on June 1 at noon when she left her residence on her way to the hairdresser. She wanted to get ready to attend the end of the year school party for her little girl named Daniela the next day.
However, she never made it to the beauty salon, her husband Alexei Licea and her sister Digna Gil told a Florida television station.
“I noticed her in good spirits when she left. Then, I tried to contact her several times, but she did not respond,” Licea recounted. “I thought her (her cell phone) had run out of battery.”
Unable to communicate with his wife, Licea reported Vilma’s disappearance to the county police force that same day at night.
“I never thought that would be the last time we would talk,” he said.
The next day, police authorities found his car abandoned at mile 32, 8th Street of the Everglades, in a dark area near the lake.
“Inside the vehicle were his belongings but not his cell phone and a credit card,” Gil said.
“It’s terrible, I don’t sleep, they have been very difficult days dealing with this situation,” the family members expressed.
The family anxiously awaits information from the police about the investigations to find Diana Gil, and they ask for the collaboration of the county community to report any clues or join the search for the mother. “We trust in God and in all those who are working on the case, we implore you.”
