As revealed in recent months, 007 GoldenEye will shine again on Switch and Xbox Game Pass this year, but a rumor recently spotted by fans has indicated a precise time window for the debut of the remastered version of the historic shooter.

Twitter user eXtas1stv, who previously leaked information about Xbox, Bethesda and Activision Blizzard, hinted at the possibility that GoldenEye 007 appears on Xbox Game Pass by the end of January 2023 (it will also presumably be released on Nintendo Switch in the same time window). At present, the game remains exclusively available to those who digitally purchased the 2015 Xbox One Rare Replay compilation.

Microsoft has revealed only part of the games of the Xbox Game Pass January lineup, within which we find titles of absolute thickness such as Monster Hunter Rise, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable. It is therefore possible that the remastered of the shooter dedicated to the famous secret agent is included in the list of the end of January of the gaming on demand service.

007 GoldenEye will return to the scene with lots of unlockable achievements and support for local multiplayer split screen. In terms of content there does not seem to be any particular news, but on the technical front the shooter will offer the 4K resolution and 60 frames per second.

We look forward to any official updates on 007 GoldenEye, a return that we owe to Rare’s efforts.
