Homelander will have to wait sitting down: the fourth season of The Boys suffers an indefinite hiatus

While Marvel and DC have their fair share of projects waiting to be successful, there is a superhero series that has stood up to Spider-Man, Wonder Woman and company: The Boys. the jewel of Amazon Prime Video its fourth season is almost ready, but Homelander has collided face to face with an enemy he did not expect: the scriptwriters.

According to the director of the series himself, Eric Kripkethe fourth season of The Boys has just suffered an indefinite hiatus due to the writers’ strike, which remains unresolved. It turns out that while filming is almost done, post-production requires writers and screenwriters who are currently on strike, so Amazon is waiting for this problem to be solved to continue with the series.

“Update! The release date of the fourth season of The Boys will depend on how long the writers’ strike lasts. I don’t have an answer at the moment. If you need it, you better go to the studios and ask for a fair deal”

The actors finished their work on April 15 and, since then, the production has consisted of retouching details and completing different scripts to perfect some scenes. However, since this strike began, Prime Video has not been able to move forward practically nothing.

We still do not know exactly when this problem with the writers will be solved, but everything indicates that the summer will be a real hell for the big film and television producers. The Boys season 4 is likely to premiere in 2024, but if all goes well, the threat of it being pushed back another year grows.
