DC comics have revealed that Darkseid should start to be wary of the new godlike power of a surprising hero from DC Comics.

You see, for all the powerful heroes out there in the DCU, there are plenty more villains just dying to destroy them and bring their dark desires to life. But, no villain is as intimidating as the New God. Darkseid, ruler of Apokolips and threat to the entire DC Universe. Wishing to subdue all living things with the Anti-Life Equation, Darkseid has repeatedly launched devastating efforts to achieve his vision.
And while he’s always managed to get DC forces to stop him, it’s never long before he returns, as like all New Gods, even death isn’t enough to completely remove Darkseid from the DCU.
However, a vast increase in his abilities has given a DC hero the power to kill Darkseid once and for all, and in comic book John Stewart: The Emerald Knight #1 from Geoffrey Thorne Y Marco Santucciwe see John Stewart with his new Ascended powers leading the Emerald Guard on a mission to stop the forces of the New God.
Having assumed the powers of a Divine Storm, John is acting as the living Central Power Battery for the remaining 300 members of the Corps, but Esak has plans to use John’s power to complete his mission of returning the DC Universe to a newer version. ancient and perfect of itself. However, without Esak’s knowledge, John has used his power to split himself in two, and these halves immobilize the New God, because according to them, with his Ascended power, they can kill Esak and he will not be able to return from the death.
John Stewart can stop Darkseid once and for all
Unlike most other alien races, the New Gods have the ability to escape death by being reborn. Darkseid himself has experienced several deaths, but remains one of the most recurring enemies in the DC Universe. However, even Esak recognizes the power that Ascended John Stewart now wields and even ends up evolving to escape the threat of complete annihilation from him.
So if John can put the fear of death into a New God, there’s no doubt he could do the same with the scariest New God of all. The DC Universe has had a number of godlike heroes before, as even Green Lanterns have reached cosmic force with Parallax or White Lantern.
But John’s new Ascended form gives him something those forms didn’t: the ability to put real fear into the New Gods. If Esak truly believes that Stewart could destroy him for good, then there’s a chance that might apply to Darkseid as well. With such overwhelming strength, John could do something even Superman isn’t capable of and rid the DCU of the biggest threat from him.
