Mexico City.- A group of 17 federal deputies from the Green Ecologist -out of a total of 40- expressed this morning their support for Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard to be Morena’s candidate for the Presidency of the Republic.
At the head of the group appeared deputy Javier López Casarín, who reported that he had made known the endorsement of Morena’s “corcholata” to the National Executive Committee of the toucan party.
“It is not a split, let it be very clear. We have the endorsement and support of the leadership,” he clarified.
“Marcelo is the best”, read on the screen presented by the deputies, together with the Green Platform.
López Casarín demanded from the Morena leadership an open survey of the population, with two concise and clear questions; that the applicants separate from their public positions within six months; and open spaces for debate.
Among others, the deputies who gave their support to the chancellor are: Javier López Casarín, Rocío Corona, Claudia Delgadillo, Federica Quiroga, Juan Luis Carrillo Soberanes, Juan Pablo Montes de Oca, María José Alcalá, Fátima Cruz, Ana Laura Huerta Valdovinos, María del Carmen Jinete Vargas, Yamile Salomón, Kevin Ángelo Piña, Juan González Lima, Marco Antonio Natale Gutiérrez and Juan Carlos López.
