The Fourth Sentencing Court of San Salvador sentenced the young Kevin Antonio García Muñoz, 24 years old, to 20 years of internment yesterday for the murder of two passengers on Route 52, in an exclusive trial for the application of security measures. security.
“It was determined, based on expert examinations, that he was a person not liable for prosecution, that is, he is not aware of the legal and illegal nature of his acts and therefore he was sentenced to maintain internment for a period of 20 years,” confirmed the defense attorney, Franklin Hernández.
An investigating judge determined that Kevin García had to face a trial for the application of measures after determining, through a psychiatric examination, that the defendant has a clinical picture of paranoid schizophrenia and dependence on cannabis or marijuana.
However, after the court’s decision, the defense lawyer assures that the ruling took him by surprise, because in the public hearing the Attorney General’s Office was unable to prove the guilt of his defendant in the act with evidence.
