In Mexico, 41% of the population has insomniawhich is manifested by the difficulty that the patient presents to stay asleep, according to figures from Statista Consumer Insights.

This places it in one of the countries where sleep disorders are most present, only below Italy, South Africa and Spain.

These conditions are part of a public health problem, because they can influence the development of daily life, attention, concentration, memory, and in general, the mental health of people.

Insomnia, according to figures from the University of Guadalajarais the most common disorder: it consists of a difficulty in initiating or maintaining sleep, it is a problem of decreased quality of sleep.

Insomnia can occur with a frequency ranging from 2% in women, and 4% in men. In those older than 65 years the frequency increases up to more than 20 percent.
