It was the hardcore jungle camp: seven people spend seven days in the Panamanian jungle. Everyone on their own with a few items. Not even a camera team is there: the participants film their fight in the wilderness themselves.

That’s what the inventor of the survival format said, Fritz Meinecke (33), already on Sunday on his YouTube-Kanal. A day later he followed up and revealed what should change in the new edition. In short: EVERYTHING!
The new rules
▶︎ The candidates are exposed in seven teams of two. Means: There are 14 instead of the previous seven participants.
“These teams should consist of friends, of people who go through thick and thin,” says Meinecke. If one of the participants gives up, the whole team is eliminated.
So suddenly a new level comes into the show: interpersonal relationships. Quarrels and other conflicts now play a role. In the previous two seasons, each participant was on their own.
▶︎ The duration of the survival adventure will also be doubled. From seven to 14 days.
▶︎ The daily tasks will be abolished. Meinecke: “That means there is only one big challenge left: and that is survival. Get along in the wilderness for 14 days.” So the focus should be more on life in nature again.
︎ The first season was filmed in Sweden, the second in the Panama jungle. Now it will be Canada or Alaska! “For me, these two countries are the epitome of wilderness, of the outdoors, of adventure, of survival,” said Meinecke. But he had never been there himself.
So far, no location has been decided, according to the YouTuber. The preparations for this are now underway.
︎ Meinecke said nothing about the specific participants. In the background, however, some desired constellations have already been considered.
▶︎ There should be further changes to the permitted items. In the first season, contestants were allowed to take seven things with them into the wild. In the second, there were one to seven, depending on previous experience. Meinecke wants to announce what should be allowed in season three on Tuesday.
