Monterrey.- After residents of the sector heard several shots, an 82-year-old woman was found shot dead inside her home in Escobedo.

The event, which led to the mobilization of police and aid corporations, was recorded at 2:46 a.m., at an address near the intersection of Calle Segunda Cerrada de la Luz and Avenida Paseo de la Amistad, in the Infonavit Monterreal neighborhood.

After the report and after the Civil Protection paramedics who were sent to the site confirmed the death of the woman, the area was cordoned off by the municipal authorities.

The now deceased was identified by the authorities as María del Pilar Dueñez Romero, 82 years old.

The woman, according to the report prepared by the paramedics and police officers who arrived as first responders, was found lying in the living room area of ​​the house.

The injury that presumably caused his death was a gunshot wound to the chest with an entry and exit hole through the back.

After the cordon off, ministerial agents and experts from the Prosecutor’s Office also arrived at the scene, who began investigations into the crime.

During the review of the murder scene, the agents found a 40-millimeter caliber cartridge lying in front of the house, right on the sidewalk, but they did not mention whether they found any casings.

Among the data released by the agents in charge of investigating the case, it was said that they interviewed several neighbors, who agree that they only heard two shots, but they could not see anyone leaving the house or moving away from the place.

Because they did not have witnesses to provide specific information, the agents are investigating whether the event was a direct attack against the woman or if she was only hit by one of the bullets that were fired against the facade of the house.
