A 17-year-old teenager was stabbed to death this morning in the vicinity of the San Martín pedestrian street in the seaside resort of Mar del Plata, in a fight that apparently began with a stomp and for which at least four suspects are being sought, they reported today. police sources.
The victim was identified by the sources as Lucio Garay (17), who at 1:20 in the morning today was attacked by a group of young people made up of two men and two women at the intersection of Córdoba street and San Martín pedestrian street, near from a local fast food chain of the McDonald’s chain.
According to official information, the victim is a native of Mar del Plata and has an address in the area of the Hospital Interzonal General de Agudos (HIGA) in Mar del Plata.
Garay was found in the bathroom of the Ambassador cinema, located meters from the place where the attack took place, and where he went to take refuge due to the injuries suffered in the attack.
Police personnel from the 1st police station arrived at the scene after a call and were able to verify the stab wounds to the adolescent’s chest, for which the victim was immediately taken to the hospital, where he later died.
According to testimonies collected, it was established that the victim was with a 16-year-old friend when both were attacked by these four young people.
The case was left in charge of the prosecutor Florencia Salas, of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 1 of Mar del Plata, who immediately requested that witnesses be sought for collaboration and requested that the security cameras of the municipality stationed on the area of the event to reconstruct the sequence of what happened and see the possibility of identifying any of those involved.
