A man is murdered at the Bellas Artes Metro station

MEXICO CITY (apro).– Mexico City experienced a night of unusual violence this Wednesday, after two people were executed and one more injured in the streets and Metro stations in the Historic Center, while two more were packed in the surroundings of Tacubaya.

In the first incident, which occurred around 9:20 p.m., a man of approximately 45 years of age lost his life in a direct assault with firearm shots at the eastern access of the Bellas Artes station on Line 8 of the Transportation System. Collective (STC) Metro, in the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office.

In an information card, the Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC) reported that, according to the first reports, two subjects followed the man from outside the station and, going down the stairs, directly detonated him.

He added that the analysis of video surveillance cameras is already being carried out to identify the probable perpetrators of the attack, and that the agent of the Public Ministry has been reported for expert services.

In a second event, two subjects were detained by the capital’s police officers, after they shot two people at the intersection of San Pablo and Correo Mayor avenues, in the Centro neighborhood, near the Pino Suárez Metro station.

One of the victims died at the scene and the other, aged 30, suffered injuries, for which she was taken by paramedics to a nearby hospital.

According to the SSC, the officers, in coordination with the monitors of the Command and Control Center (C2) Center, carried out a virtual siege and through the video replay of the video surveillance cameras, they located the possible perpetrators who were traveling aboard a black motorcycle.

The uniformed officers intercepted one of the possible perpetrators on Avenida 5 de Febrero and, upon conducting a preventive inspection, they found a short firearm, a cell phone, and radio communication equipment.

Minutes later, on San Jerónimo street, they arrested the second possible person involved. The two detainees and the insured were presented to the corresponding Public Ministry agent, who will determine their legal situation.

Boxed in Tacubaya

In a third violent act, two people were found with their hands tied and locked in the cargo area of ​​a white van on Jalisco avenue at the corner of Mártires de la Conquista street, Tacubaya neighborhood, Miguel Hidalgo mayor’s office.

According to an information card from the SSC, uniformed officers became aware of the fact that it was allegedly derived from an assault.

At the site, uniformed men from the Industrial Banking Police (PBI) requested medical services for the assessment of the men; meanwhile, people were directed to submit their formal complaint to the corresponding ministerial authorities.

Executed in Morelos

The violent events of this Wednesday were added to the execution that occurred yesterday of a 22-year-old identified as Víctor Alexis Flores, who received two direct shots to the head, at the corner of Eje 1 Norte and Ferrocarril de Cintura, Colonia Morelos, mayor’s office Venustiano Carranza.

According to journalistic reports, the victim was detained aboard his motorcycle while he was talking with a woman, when another motorcyclist coming from Hortelanos street began shooting at him, leaving him lifeless, lying on the ground.

The murderer fled to the Tepito neighborhood on another motorcycle arranged with a driver; The woman with whom the affected person was talking also fled the place.

The relatives of Víctor Alexis Flores went to the site and declared that he was engaged in a business selling tennis shoes in Tepito.

According to El Universal, the first line of investigation points to an alleged revenge. The reporter Carlos Jiménez shared on his Twitter account that people close to this victim assured that last week he killed an extortionist from La Unión de Tepito.

Yesterday’s was the second execution, in less than a week, recorded against a merchant in the Morelos neighborhood, in the so-called “Barrio Bravo.” On June 30, a man shot at least three times against a merchant who was walking on Caridad street, taking his life.
