In the last hours and after the last Provincial Teacher Meeting, education workers enrolled in the Multicolor sector of the Unified Union of Education Workers of Buenos Aires (Suteba), defined calling a provincial teacher strike for this Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 April, for a period of 48 hours.
There were several reasons why this measure of fight will finally take shape. Among those that stand out the most are: the salary equal to the family basket in one position and monthly indexation for inflation; Defense of working conditions; Creation of all charges; IOMA benefits; Scholarships for all students.
At the same time, the fight against violence towards schools and education workers is also added, and money is demanded for education.
In addition, in a statement expressed by the Executive Council of SUTEBA Sections, they highlighted the following points:
– Ratify the program of struggle that the previous Plenaries and Meetings have built.
– Promote an action together with the Ademys de CABA teachers’ union at the Pizzurno Palace on Tuesday 25 and district actions on Wednesday 26.
– Hold a new provincial meeting at the end of next week to evaluate the fight measure and prepare the continuity.
– Express solidarity with the teachers unions ADOSAC of Santa Cruz, CEDEMS of Jujuy, the compañera Estela Juarez of ATECH teachers union of Chubut, Alfredo Caceres of SUTEBA Tigre, Jorge Adaro and Juan Manuel Di Vincenzo of Ademys of CABA and Sabrina Rosa of the union teacher UEPC of Córdoba before the persecution of the political and judicial power.
