Bludenz. On Saturday, January 14th, the experimental and Grammy-nominated musician Manu Delago will present his one-man orchestra in the Remise. There are still tickets!
Born in Innsbruck, Manu Delago comes from a family of musicians and was already playing the drums at the age of two. He studied classical percussion and jazz percussion in Innsbruck and London and at the same time made a name for himself as a handpan pioneer. In 2007, the career of the Londoner-by-choice really took off: indie singer Björk saw him playing handpan on a YouTube video that received millions of views and engaged him as drummer for her world tour.
“On my new album ‘Environ Me’, the sounds of our environment merge with electronic music – always with the highest appreciation of our nature,” says the artist himself, describing his latest work. Manu Delago’s acoustic percussion instruments fuse electronic beats with the sounds of our environment. Fascinating visualizations with the sounds of water, fire, fauna, movement, wind and our surroundings will fill the depot with sound and create a total work of art for ears and eyes.
