Acer launches two new gaming monitors. On the one hand, there is the Predator X32FP with a 31.5-inch diagonal, IPS panel with quantum dots and mini-LED backlight. On the other hand, there is also the new Nitro XV5, where Acer primarily emphasizes the refresh rate of up to 200 Hz and AMD FreeSync Premium. Both the Predator X32FP and the Nitro XV5 have USB Type-C and HDMI 2.1 and a native resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The Nitro model is also available as a QHD variant.

The Acer Predator X32FP also has AMD FreeSync Premium up its sleeve and works with a refresh rate of 160 Hz and a response time of 0.7 ms. Acer advertises an anti-glare panel, a mini-LED backlight with 576 zones, certification for VESA DisplayHDR 1000 and integrated speakers with 7 watts. Four ports for HDMI 2.1 are available and one each for DisplayPort and USB-C. The latter can charge external devices with 90 watts. There is also a USB hub with four USB 3.0 and one Type-C. An audio output is also on board.

This is joined by the aforementioned Nitro XV5 with a color accuracy of Delta E<2 and a response time of just 0.5 ms. Here the USB-C input has a charging capacity of 65 watts. In this case, there are loudspeakers with two 3 watts on board ex works. The monitors can be tilted, swiveled and adjusted in height for more comfort during gaming sessions. Natively, the QHD version of the Nitro XV5 uses 160 Hz and the 4K version of the monitor is then at 144 Hz. Both should be able to be overclocked up to 200 Hz.

  • The Acer Predator X32FP is expected to be available from January 2023 at recommended retail prices starting at EUR 1,599.
