How political reported, the EU antitrust authorities have sent a warning to Microsoft. However, the exact content is not known. The statement should list a number of points that are critically assessed in the context of the takeover. The main reason for the warning is likely to be the possible exclusivity of big franchises like Call of Duty. Microsoft has not yet commented on the antitrust warning.

EU to make decision by April 11th
So far, the European Union has not finally decided whether Microsoft can take over Activision or whether the deal will be stopped. The competent commission wants to make a judgment by April 11 and also determine under what conditions the trial can take place. It would be conceivable that the Redmond company would have to guarantee that Call of Duty would also be offered on competing platforms. Microsoft has already agreed to provide ports for the Sony and Nintendo consoles for ten years.
In addition to the European authorities, the competition authorities in the United States and Great Britain are also a major obstacle for Microsoft. The FTC had filed a lawsuit against the takeover. Sony in particular is likely to resort to all available legal remedies. A conclusion of the 69 billion dollar deal is still not in sight.
