Lochau. That was the best advertising for the brass band. The music club Lochau had invited all classes of the elementary school to a varied “music lesson with the military band” in the large gymnastics hall.
Eight musicians from the Vorarlberg military band performed under the professional direction of music master Vzlt. Gerald Wolf the attentive students and teachers alike with a very entertaining and child-friendly presentation of various woodwind and brass instruments, such as trumpet, tenor horn, clarinet, trombone, saxophone, horn and tuba, along with the percussion. The children experienced at first hand how these work or how they sound, in the solo part or in a traditional brass band ensemble.
“Anyone who wants to know more about the instrument they want or want to try out the instrument themselves is always invited to the weekly Friday afternoon rehearsal in the Alte Schule clubhouse together with their parents,” concludes Michael Schmid, youth officer at MV Lochau.
So we can only hope that after this great campaign some girls and boys will be enthusiastic about an instrument and will find their way to the Lochauer Musikverein.

Registration is worthwhile right from the start. With its “Jungmusik” and the “Rasselbande”, the MV Lochau has two youth wind orchestras that enable all interested parties to play music together with other children very quickly.
The young musicians also enjoy the public appearances at various secular and church events. And in addition to the brass music activities, the children and young people can also look forward to a very varied leisure program as part of an attractive youth work program at MV Lochau.
