Previously, it had been reported that AEW would be producing the new weekly show Collision under the same contract with Warner Brothers Discovery.

This information had been given before Double or Nothing, and Tony Khan had confirmed that AEW’s contract with Warner Brothers Discovery would remain the same, despite the production of Collision.

Already at the press conference after Double or Nothing, Tony Khan ended up correcting this information:

Yes, we are being paid for Collision and we are being paid very well. Yes, in addition to Dynamite and Rampage. We have a new contract. It’s more money, but it’s the same amount of time. I was really excited about it. It was a great opportunity for us. It is certainly very expensive to produce a two-hour live television program and, on the weekend, doing it every week, it will not be cheap, but it will be great.

It was a great opportunity for the company to get more revenue to make more television, but also to develop another brand in addition to what we do with Dynamite and Rampage. There will be additional production costs, and right now we’re not producing Dark and Elevation, so there’s some cost savings. There will be an increase in costs, but there will also definitely be an increase in revenues, through the sale of tickets and promotional products.

What do you think of this new information about AEW’s new television contract?
