Police personnel from the province of Buenos Aires will receive a new salary increase of 7%, which will total an increase of 97% in the year 2022as reported by the Buenos Aires government headed by Axel Kicillof. The measure was announced after the state, teachers and courts discussed and closed the parities for the year.

“The salary increase for the Police personnel of the Province of Buenos Aires will be 97% in the year 2022. Until December of this year we reached a 90% increase. The seven additional points will be paid retroactively with the salaries of January 2023 “Said the Minister of Security, Sergio Berni.

In this way, the annual parity for security agents will allow them to be placed above inflationary levels, one of the great objectives proposed by the provincial Executive. The increase figure will rise, in some cases, depending on the positions and seniority, as in the case of state workers.

“We continue working to prioritize the work of our security forces with a historic investment,” said Governor Axel Kicillof, adding that “a more equipped, professionalized and better paid Police translates into more security for each Buenos Aires citizen.”

On another level, the Police agents who participate in Operative Sol will receive 7,000 pesos as per diem without distinction of hierarchy, category or rank, something that was stipulated by decree 2228/22, which bears the signature of Governor Axel Kicillof and the ministers Sergio Berni, of Security; paul lopez Treasury and Finance and the Chief of Staff, Martin Insaurralde.

For their part, the cadet personnel of the Ministry of Security referred to Operation Sol, as well as the remaining operations to be carried out during 2023 in the provincial territory will receive 50% of the previous amount, that is, 3,500 pesos.

PROVINCIAL OVERVIEW

The Province closed the 2022 parity with state, judicial and educational with an agreement that contemplates a recomposition of 7%, which means a lump sum of 97% for public administration employees, 100% for judicial employees and more than 100 % for teachers.

The meeting of the officials of the provincial Executive and union representatives was held at the offices of the Ministry of Labor.

As for public administration workers, 7% is added to the 14 that was already agreed, so they will receive an increase of 21% with the last salary of the year.

With the teachers, the recomposition started from the 94% that was agreed, and depending on the positions and seniority, the overall increases will be around between 100.8% and 103.3%.

In this way, a teacher who is just beginning a grade will be earning 111,000 pocket pesos in December (includes incentive amounts and national connectivity), totaling a 103% increase in 2022.

For its part, a teacher with 12 years of seniority will reach 128,413 pesos and with 24 years to 152,405 pesos.

A preceptor without seniority will reach 96,920 pesos and a teacher with 20 modules (hours equivalent to two positions), 150,431 pesos. Managerial positions will be in December at 178,455 pesos and 240,994 pesos.

In this regard, the Buenos Aires Teaching Unity Front, made up of AMET, FEB, Udocba, Sadop and Suteba, recognized the agreement with the government and pointed out that according to official estimates the 2022 increase will be 7% above inflation.

In addition, it was established that the new negotiations will begin in January and that what was received in the first month of the year will be taken as the floor.

From the Federation of State and Private Unions of the province of Buenos Aires (Fegeppba) they recognized the agreement and through a statement they indicated that in January the meetings of the technical tables will begin to work on the titularization of interim workers.

Likewise, there will be a general readjustment of two categories for all employees included in Law 10,430.

For their part, from UPCN they published the officialization of the salary agreement and described it as a “historic achievement”.

For its part, the Buenos Aires Judicial Association requested the recovery of 3% for seniority and reimbursement for the days of unemployment in the years 2017 and 2018, carried out during the term of María Eugenia Vidal.

Both the Government and the unions agreed that the dialogues for the 2023 parities will begin in January.

Governor Kicillof stressed that “we have valued parities after a time in which not only was there no dialogue with the unions, but union representatives were attacked and stigmatized.”

“We left behind a stage of adjustment and precariousness that impacted both the salary and the working conditions of the workers,” he added.

Kicillof told the press that “from day one we have set ourselves the goal of ending the deterioration that wages were suffering in the Province and beginning a process of recovering what was lost.”

The Minister of Finance, Pablo López, assured: “Since the beginning of our administration we have listened to the demands and concerns of the workers’ representatives, doing everything possible to respond to them. This agreement that closes the 2022 parity is a shows more of the commitment of this Government to advance in a process of recomposition of the salary”.

We are all compañeras and compañeros, we are at the same table, we were able to resolve it and we resolved it from the State itself, a committed provincial State”.

The General Director of Culture and Education, Alberto Sileonistressed that “we continue to take very important steps to rebuild public education after a stage of strong disinvestment.”
