Krista Vernoff was a series creator on Grey’s Anatomy for six years.

The successful series of Shonda Rhimes has been on TV screens around the world since 2005. Not only Ellen Pompeo was always there, but also Krista Vernoff. She is the producer and writer of the hospital series and has even been the series creator of “Grey’s Anatomy” for the last six years – making her the most important person behind the scenes. She has also held this position with the “Station 19” branch so far. But now she has also announced that she will retire.

“It has been the privilege of a lifetime to have been put in charge of six years of Grey’s Anatomy and four years of Station 19. The passion of the dedicated fan base and the impact these shows have had on hearts and minds cannot be needs to be emphasized enough. The amount of talent in these two extraordinary casts and these two brilliant writers’ rooms is immeasurable – and these crews work magically week in and week out,” Vernoff said deadline.

Shonda Rhimes previously said: “Krista’s creativity, vision and dedicated leadership have enabled ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Station 19’ to continue to thrive. I am incredibly grateful to her for all her hard work. She will always be a part of Shondaland -stay family.”

It is not known why she is giving up her post. One can only speculate about their possible replacement at the moment. Apparently has Meg Marinis but good chances of becoming the new driving force of the two series. She has also been on board since season one and is the producer and writer of the series.
