Only recently there was a documentary about Pinzner, who made a name for himself as an ice-cold contract killer in Hamburg’s red-light district in the 1980s. He is responsible for several deaths and his death was all the more spectacular when he shot the public prosecutor, his wife and himself during an interrogation.

Sigrid Paul

If the name of the victim Sigrid Paulus doesn’t immediately mean something to you, here’s a guide. In 2008 her husband Paulus reported missing, he helped search and appeared on the ZDF program “Aktenzeichen XY” to find her. In 2013, investigators solved the case and tracked down the killer. Her own husband had murdered her and buried her body in concrete in the basement of the house.

The kidnapping of Ursula Herrmann

At the beginning of the 1980s, the missing Ursula Herrmann was found in a box, buried in the forest near Lake Ammer. The actually very idyllic holiday region was put into shock. There was a ransom note and the box in the floor was supposed to keep Herrmann alive, but it went awry. 40 years later, a man from the neighboring village was convicted, but to this day there are doubts about his guilt and some other suspects.

Armin Meiwes

Meiwes may also be known to many people as the “Cannibals of Rotenburg”. In the early 2000s he met with his victim Jürgen Brandes, whom he later killed. According to Meiwes, this was done by mutual agreement, after whose death he ate parts of Brandes’ body. He later confessed to this and was convicted.
