Agreement to dismantle tents in Columbia

A spokesperson for Columbia University announced Tuesday night that they have reached an agreement with the pro-Palestinian protest leaders who are camped on the west lawn of the university campus.

They say this includes dismantling a significant number of tents, and asking protesters not affiliated with the university to leave.

Meanwhile, the students assure that they will comply with the fire department’s safety measures and prohibit discriminatory or harassing language.

These negotiations come amid new nighttime protests at the University.

The demonstrations, both on and off campus, began last Wednesday.
