Made public in December 2022, the ChatGPT conversational chat caused a real tidal wave. With formidable efficiency, the chatbot of the American startup OpenAI beats all user records thanks to its ease of use but above all thanks to the precision of its results, based on GPT-3 and soon on GPT-4. Able to answer questions, but also to easily suggest recipes, songs, gift ideas (in reality, anything and everything), ChatGPT also ended up worrying the academic community. Already banned in many schools for the risk of plagiarism, it has been taken up by some media to create content easily. But the chatbot also has serious limitations, in particular because it is not connected to the internet. His information is therefore not necessarily up to date and he is quite capable of lying if he does not have the solution. After unveiling its artificial intelligence image generator (Dall-E), OpenAI is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious tech startups. His tool, pre-empted for several years by Microsoft, is already causing a stir at Google or Meta.
