Mexico City.- An aircraft that was heading to Zacatecas fell in the community of Don Diego, belonging to the municipality of Venado, San Luis Potosí. Sources report that there are at least two fatalities.
The area is cordoned off, and elements from various corporations have arrived to deal with this aerial incident. It is known that the unit left San Luis Potosí.
Civil Protection (PC) sources reported that at least two people lost their lives in this incident.
At the point there are PC personnel from the municipalities of Venado and Moctezuma, from the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection of the State, and the military.
“Work is being coordinated with the federation, who would be taking control of the situation to determine the causes and their consequences,” the agency reported.
Likewise, rescue and emergency bodies are on the site. So far, the causes of the crash of the aircraft have not been reported.
“In a preliminary way, it is reported that there are several people injured; from the control tower of the ‘Ponciano Arriaga’ International Airport it was announced that they had lost contact with a plane that was moving from San Luis Potosí to the neighboring State of Zacatecas,” he said. the SSPC.
The State Civil Guard provided support to cordon off the area of the accident, acting in coordination with Civil Protection personnel and the local Police.
