Alef the flying car has $750 million in pre-orders

Alef Aeronautics, the sustainable mobility company that is designing and developing a flying car, announced that reached 2,500 pre-orders representing $750 million dollars in revenue at the time of delivery.

According to the company, this includes 2,100 deposits from individuals and B2B agreements with companies for the sale of 400 carsincluding an agreement with a California car dealer.

“These deposits signify proof of market demand by individuals and corporations for the new mode of transportation, and provide the company with Valuable insights into future market demographics and initial customer base breakdown for flying carsthe company said in a statement.

On October 19, 2022, Alef came out of anonymity and presented the first flying car with the functionality and looks of a traditional car and vertical takeoff and landing capabilities. Pre-orders opened the same day on the company’s website.

The project has been gradually consolidated and on June 12, 2023, Alef became the first traditional electric car to receive a limited Special Airworthiness Certificate from the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA).

“We are excited to see such strong initial demand for the Alef flying car. We are grateful for the notes of gratitude and inspiration we received with some of the pre-orders.” said Jim Dukhovny, CEO of Alef. “We still have a ways to go before we start deliveries, but where we are going, we don’t need roads.”
