Alejandro Cuervo He is very clear that in addition to being that actor that the Cuban public recognizes, he is above all a human being who is beyond any character he can interpret.
In a recent interview for YouTube with Massiel Dueñasthe heartthrob spoke about his beginnings as an actor in his native San Luis, Pinar del Río, the importance he attaches to social networks and his profession, his presence in the cinema, the new projects he is cooking, among other topics.
Like many artists, Alejandro never saw his destiny as a lawyer or a doctor and when he had the opportunity to get to know acting up close, he knew that this was his path and he took the tests at the National School of Art.
In a world where social networks are, in Alejandro’s opinion, part of “an artist’s career”, he has chosen to use them “so that people know, enjoy, or not, his personality”.
“I am one of those who have always been clear about that, before being an artist, before being an actor, I am a human being who has a family and that for me is the first thing, the primordial thing, the main thing. From there I am an actor, it is my profession, tomorrow I can live without acting, in fact I dedicate myself to other things along with acting, I love acting, but I can live without acting, ”he confessed openly.
Alejandro assured that he is very practical and realistic and therefore he is willing to make the most of this life, always believing in what he sees and can verify.
In confidence and with a laugh, the actor said that he does not miss the time when he was not famous because with people who have known him for a long time he remains the same: “I try not to lose my essence and that is what has given me success ”.
In the interview he acknowledged that prettier than him, better actors in Cuba, with more careers, movies and soap operasthere are many, but with pride and satisfaction he added: “But dear ones like me, there are not too many.”
Regarding his projects for the cinema, he said that currently is filming a movie and six months ago he finished a horror medium-length film with Leandro de la Rosa that is being presented at the Cannes Film Festival, and also surprised with great news, he is in the process of producing his first film.
The artist did not leave aside his interest in business in the conversation, something his father taught him, and it was precisely seeing that actors are not well paid in Cuba that led him to continue advancing in that world as a presenter for centers night and later to open his own butcher shop.
The fact that today he has his own house, a car and certain comforts is due to his effort, working and saving everything he could, always thinking of advancing in life.
