Ten Pound Poms tells the story of a few British families who left their country in 1956 to try their luck in the “New New World”, distant Australia. As a bonus, the English actor Warren Brown (already crossed in Luther), won the Best Actor award. Ten Pound Poms will be broadcast in France on OCS from July 13th.
Another sacred series tonight at 62nd Monte-Carlo festivalthe German-Norwegian thriller The Seed wins the award for Best Creation. Danish actress Marie Reuther walks away with the Best Actress award for Chorus Girls.
Finally, French fiction was also honored since The Colossus With Feet of Claystarring Eric Cantona and broadcast on TF1, was crowned Best TV Movie and also won the Special Jury Prize.
