MEXICO CITY (apro) – Alejandro “Alito” Moreno, national leader of the PRI, addressed a message to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the militancy of his party after the resignation of four senators to the tricolor.
This Monday, after accusing Alejandro Moreno of “breaking with the unity” of the party, senators Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, Claudia Ruiz Massieu, Eruviel Ávila and Nuvia Mayorga resigned from the PRI and announced the creation of the “Congruencia por México” movement.
In a statement and in a video posted on his social networks, the national leader of the tricolor told López Obrador: “you speak as if the PRI were equal to Morena. But the best of the PRI stayed in the PRI, and the worst that was in the PRI is on its side.”
The PRI, said “Alito”, will no longer be one of those who only seek the position, feel untouchable and hide behind a desk or a cell phone without ruffling their hair.
“Today he has people in some embassies that he previously called liars, thieves, corrupt and traitors. And I’m not saying it. You and your party have said it every day,” said “Alito.”
Those who are leaving the PRI today do so because they know that first and second class militants have finished in this party, and giving space to those who blackmail and never work for the militancy, warned the president of the National Executive Committee (CEN) of this political institute.
He pointed out that “not lying, not stealing and not betraying is a dead letter in his government and in his party.”
Moreno reminded López Obrador that he was a member of the PRI, and even three of his “corcholatas” were part of this political force.
Due to the above, the national leader of the tricolor demanded that he stop blaming the party that his whims and personal ambitions do not come out.
“Alito” considered that the great mistake of López Obrador and Morena has been to politicize the misfortune of Mexicans, and fuel poverty and inequality, to promote their hate speech and division. That’s why, he pointed out, “they don’t believe them anymore; that is why the people no longer trust you.”
In that sense, he said, “they were very good at getting people excited, but they have been better at disappointing them. And worst of all, messing with the most valuable thing that Mexicans have: the safety of families.”
He considered that “they are desperate because they are going to lose in 2024, and that leads them to resort to the lowest and most reprehensible maneuvers to weaken our party and want to do so in the Broad Front for Mexico.”
In the PRI, the national leader of the tricolor maintained, “we are ready to face them. They are not going to double us and we are going to beat them in 2024. And here are those of us who want a different Mexico, a better Mexico and that together we build the best Mexico of all time”.
He assured that the tricolor belongs to foot militants, who are in the rain and under the sun, who fight in the territory and who defend it in public and in private.
“Our party builds with the citizens,” he said, noting that the party continues to work on the National Affiliation Campaign, “with which we are adding more wills to our project every day.”
He added that “we make it clear: in the PRI and in the Broad Front for Mexico we are more united than ever, with urgency and without rest, firmly and decisively we will defend the people of Mexico, their freedom and their democracy.”
