Roberto David Cardozo Rojas (31), who was captured last Friday for the shooting of the journalist Humberto Andrés Coronel (33), refrained from making an investigative statement before the Anti-Kidnapping Prosecutor, Lorenzo Lezcano, who was established this Sunday at the Trauma Hospital in Asunción. The public defender of Organized Crime also participated in the procedure, Eduardo Velazquez.
The cause of intentional homicide is being investigated by the fiscal agent María Irene Alvarez, of the Specialized Anti-Kidnapping Unit. The event occurred on September 6, 2022, at approximately 1:35 p.m., in the Perpetuo Socorro neighborhood of the city of Pedro Juan Caballero, Department of Amambay.
In continuation of the investigation, the alleged perpetrator was searched, through the closed circuit system, where the physical and morphological characteristics of the defendant were displayed. This would be engaged in acts of assassination and would respond to a criminal group that operates in the area of Captain Badoaccording to the information.
The man was arrested by agents of the Homicide Department of the National Police in the Regional Hospital of Captain Badowhere he was assisted as a result of a traffic accident.
