ARERA (Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment) has established cost ranges based on the times when electricity is most in demand by consumers:
- the F1 band counts the days between Monday and Friday from 8 to 19 and is the most expensive;
- slot F2 goes from Monday to Friday but the times are from 7 to 8 and from 19 to 23, plus Saturdays from 7 to 23;
- the F3 slot is from Monday to Saturday from 11pm to 7am and includes all public holidays, including Sundays.
The best days and times to do the laundry they are therefore in the F2 range and the F3 range. This advice is not valid if you have signed a single-hour supply contract, which means that the price of energy is the same regardless of the day or time you consume it.
