American pilot aborted the takeoff of flight AA297 through an open window, an incident that is unusual in aviation, which was quickly resolved to resume the flight.
The aircraft began its takeoff on the runway after receiving clearance from the air traffic controller and picked up speed, but then gradually slowed down after reaching 70 knots.
In a video shared by Airline Videos on X, formerly known as Twitter, the pilots could be heard telling the controller that they were aborting takeoff. According to the reproduction of FlightRadar24.com, as collected by SimpleFlying.

Although the causes are not known, there are several hypotheses such as incorrect closure by the pilots, or it could be a structural or pressurization failure. It is rare for pilots to reject a takeoff for this reason due to a window being opened.
The American flight covered the route between Los Angeles International Airport and Honolulu International Airport, a route that has a daily frequency.
