So far, none of the officials have personally shared statements regarding this extension of the president’s rest period.
The health conditions of the president were positioned as a topic of high interest in public discussion after the massive hacking of servers of the Ministry of National Defense (sedena), as the leaked documents revealed that the Federal Government had failed to report emergency hospitalizations and treatment for conditions such as hypothyroidism, drop and high-risk unstable angina.
With such a background, his recent contagion of Covid-19 alerted a large part of the public, while it was the reason why many people began to spread assumptions alluding to the alleged deterioration in the health of López Obrador.
However, a couple of days away, the president shared a video through his social networks in which he explained that during his tour of the southeast of the country he experienced a brief faint, which required immediate medical attention.

According to his statements, his blood pressure was controlled in a few minutes in that same place, since he rejected the idea of being transferred to a hospital in the area.
