André Schürrle. Soccer star retired, world champion. At minus 19 degrees, Schürrle marches through snow and ice. He lets his fans participate in this extremely frosty challenge on social media. She wrote: “The hardest mental and physical thing I’ve ever done! I couldn’t feel anything for the last few minutes and I had to find something deep inside to continue! An experience that I will never forget!” The Dutch extreme sportsman Wim Hof, who among other things declares bathing in the ice as a real regeneration cure, spurred him on to this trip to the Carpathians. Schürrle continues to say in his post: “-19 degrees, 100 km/h wind in your face, heavy snow and rain! What I’ve learned…My body and I are stronger than I thought? if I make an effort, I can do anything.” He got used to this extreme experience days before by “pre-freezing” in a raging stream – but this hike through Snow and ice should definitely have been much cooler.
