A few hours ago we told you about Benjamín Gamond, an Argentine tourist who was hacked to death in Lagunas de Chacahua, in Oaxaca. Unfortunately we learned of another case: a Canadian tourist was murdered in Puerto Escondido.
Benjamin was attacked on May 12 and died on May 15, the body of Víctor Masson was found inside a car on May 15.
What we know about a Canadian tourist murdered in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca
According to what is known so far, the body of the 27-year-old, originally from Canada, was found on Monday, May 15, inside a car in the Arroyo Seco neighborhood, San Pedro Mixtpec municipality, in Oaxaca.
presumably the man he would have been shot in the back, for which reason the Oaxaca State Prosecutor’s Office began an investigation for the crime of homicide.
Through a statement, the Prosecutor explains that the case was brought by the Regional Deputy Prosecutor of the Coast, who deployed a team to process the crime scene.
This happens a few days after tourists of Argentine origin were attacked with machetes in Lagunas de Chacahua, in the same state of Oaxaca.
Unfortunately, one of them, Benjamin Gamond, died due to serious injuries and his organs were donated.
