The fifth month of the year will bring several increases that will impact transportation, prepaid, domestic services, private schools and also gas, which will have an average rise of between 20 and 30 percent.

This was confirmed by the National Gas Regulatory Entity (Enargas) where it stated that it will be around 25% in final invoices, according to official sources.

According to what was published by the entity in the Official Gazette, the distribution component, one of the services included in the bills, will have an increase of between 90 and 100%, which reflects the increase in income of the companies Metrogas, Naturgy and Camuzzi, among other.

An average residential user of 79 cubic meters per month of Tier 1 (without subsidies) can go from $4,700 per month to $5,600, approximately 20%. For Tier 2 (low income), $2,000 to $2,600 per month (32%). And for Level 3 (middle income), from $3,500 per month it goes to $4,200, a 20% increase.

The increase in the average bill between April 2019 and January 2023 was 44%, which is lower than the variation of the IPIM National Level for the period (459% as of December 2022).
