The Comoros accused this Tuesday, April 18 France of wanting to sow the « violence » with a vast anti-migrant operation planned in the coming days in the neighboring French archipelago of Mayotte and the deportation of illegal aliens to the Comorian island of Anjouan.
The “Wuambushu” operation (reprise, in Mahorais) of the Minister of the Interior and Overseas, Gérald Darmanin, aims to dislodge illegal migrants from the slums of the French department located in the Indian Ocean and expel undocumented migrants , most of whom are Comorians, to the nearest Comorian island located just 70 km as the crow flies from Mayotte.

The operation approved in February by President Emmanuel Macron must be launched at the end of the week, after the end of Ramadan.
“We do not have the means to absorb this violence produced from Mayotte by the French state. Such a complex situation cannot be resolved in such a confusing way”lamented to AFP the governor of Anjouan, Anissi Chamsidine.
