Une of the most respected analysts with regard to Apple-related topics, Ming-Chi Kuo, believes that the company’s augmented reality glasses will only be launched (at best) in 2026.

Note that Kuo is not referring to the first device of augmented reality that Apple should unveil this year, focusing mainly on the lighter and more accessible version that should integrate this technology. The analyst notes in a post shared on medium platform that Apple should wait for the development of a new lens technology – known for now as ‘metalens’.

This technology is an ultra-thin optical lens that, in addition to being able to reproduce high-resolution images, is composed of materials that manage to manipulate light in a different way than traditional lenses.

Therefore, until Apple perfects the production and implementation of this technology, it is unlikely to launch augmented reality glasses on the market.
