You are currently viewing Apple TV+: Problems on Fire TV, sound becomes weaker

Apple TV+ is currently struggling with problems. These are the details about the bugs.

Fire TV device owners complain that they cannot access the streaming service. In Apple’s support forums Problem reports are increasing.

Error in the update seems to be to blame

The error appears to be due to a recently distributed update. Older devices that have not had updates for a while still work.

Fewer and fewer syncs with Dolby Atmos

Apple also seems to save on sound quality. Syncs are increasingly rarely made available with Dolby Atmos quality. Instead, lower quality levels are used used. This is noticeable in the third season of the “Morning Show”. Seasons 1 and 2 came with support for Dolby Atmos, Season 3 only provides Dolby 5.1.

Apple was considered a role model on the German streaming market. Apart from films and series, Apple TV+ previously had Dolby Atmos for all dubbed versions (not just English versions, as is usual with the competition).

One can speculate about the reasons: only two come into question – negligence or cost savings.
