At the beginning of the year, we reported that Apple would be developing a cheaper (or less expensive) alternative to the R$ 45,000 Pro Display XDR with Mini LED technology screen, but now we learn that the company has decided to scrap the expected launch for this year. . A new rumor points out that the monitor may have been delayed by a few years, and its launch is being planned for 2025.

Information shared by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reveals that mass production of Apple’s 27-inch monitor is expected to begin in 2024 or early 2025 with “all the features you would expect from a high-performance monitor.”

Even more precise details released by Kuo cite that the Mini LED panel will be thinner and lighter, resulting in narrower edges for the equipment screen and extended useful life.

With a size of 27 inches, a Mini LED panel for deep blacks, high contrast and high brightness, in addition to the presence of ProMotion technology for a rate of 120 Hz, the next Apple monitor will be positioned between the “cheap” Studio Display (from US$ 1,599 , or R$16,599) and the much more expensive Pro Display XDR (US$4,999, or R$44,999).

We don’t know if the monitor will inherit features like the integrated webcam and included speakers from Studio Display or if the product will only bet on the screen as its big differential, similar to the Pro Display XDR strategy. Screen specs and resolution are also currently unknown.

Now expected to launch between 2024 and 2025, more details related to Apple’s next monitor should emerge in the coming months as we get closer to its official announcement.
