The return of Armored Core has come true and as seen in recent days, more details about Armored Core 6 have emerged from the Taipei Game Show. In the meantime, however, the producer Ogura has released some interesting statements related to the team’s production process and the influence of the company’s other projects.

For referencing Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring and the Dark Souls saga in terms of “change” was the producer Yasutaka Ogura. He, speaking in a short segment of the showcase held at the Taipei Game Show, spoke of the upcoming Armored Core 6 declaring the following: “Ten years have passed between one title and another and, in the meantime, we at FromSoftware have developed many other titles“.

It is with this statement that Ogura opens his speech, referring precisely to games of the caliber of “Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3 and of course others like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and more recently Elden Ring“, referring to these important cornerstones of the gaming world by saying that each of those productions changed the team.

Experience and expertise that our game designers and developers have accumulated thanks to these titles have now been put to use (here the producer is referring to Armored Core 6).” This does not mean, however, that Armored Core 6 is a souls-like experience: this, in fact, has already been clarified by FromSoftware itself.

Precisely for this, therefore, the iconic saga dedicated to mecha it will not have videogame contaminations coming from the genre of souls. There is therefore great expectation around the next chapter of the historic FromSoftware brand, which we have extensively talked about in our article dedicated to the analysis of Amored Core and the metallic beginnings of FromSoftware.
