ChatGPT is the reason for the hype about Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence, in German: generative artificial intelligence, KI). These are applications in the field of artificial intelligence that create (generate) original content (e.g. poems, news articles, emails). These AI applications are trained with the help of databases – the more input, the better the results.
The best known in this area is currently OpenAI. CB Insights estimates the value of the Californian company that created ChatGPT to be around $20 billion. In addition, the business analytics platform’s analysis has identified five other unicorns, which are privately held companies with a market value of $1 billion or more. The two most valuable of these additional “Ainhorns” are Hugging Face and Lighttricks. The former is a so-called natural language processing tool, the latter deals with video and image processing.
