Asraf, from 'Survivors', confesses the serious illness for which he almost went blind

‘Survivientes 2023’ ended its adventure on Telecinco with Bosco Martínez-Bordiú as the winner. Four months in extreme conditions that allowed him to win over viewers to win the check for 200,000 euros. Little by little, the contestants of this reality show begin to recover their lives before the Keys and take stock of their experience in Honduras.

Adara Molinero used her social networks to reveal some of the ins and outs of the contest, while Asraf Beno took the opportunity to confess the severe lung disease he suffered three years ago and that left him without traveling to Honduras in the edition of that time.

Isa Pantoja’s boyfriend confirms that he suffered from sarcoidosis, a systemic disease characterized by the growth of small accumulations of inflammatory cells in the lungs. Although the TV show already had symptoms, it was not until the medical tests prior to his failed signing for ‘Survivientes 2020’ who knew his diagnosis.

“They saw that he had something strange in his lung. An inflammation of the lung ganglia. The doctor told me that this problem could blind me and cause me death. There are several stages and I was in one, so it most likely healed on its own”, admits Asraf Beno in statements for the magazine ‘Lecturas’. “I have been very bad. They told me that it could be serious, that I could die in less than a year, ”he adds.

His plans after ‘Survivors’

Asraf is clear. The television is willing to go through the altar with Isa Pantoja after several years of stable relationship. It should be remembered that the couple has planned their wedding since 2020, but it was postponed for various reasons. “I am preparing the wedding for September. I don’t think he had mentioned the date. I don’t know exactly what day it will be, but yes, it will be in September”, they affirm.
