Federal police forces arrested a man at the main train station on Tuesday night who is said to have previously kicked another in the head. This was announced by the authority.

The police officers had followed up on a cleaning company’s tip. At 1:33 a.m. they found the man bleeding profusely at the Washingtonplatz entrance. He is a Polish citizen. The man had several lacerations on his head and a cut on his neck.

Security staff were already doing first aid. Paramedics took the man to a nearby hospital.

Witnesses reported that a man kicked his subsequent victim in the head several times and fled. Other employees of the security service held the suspect on level 1 of the main station. Police officers arrested the 56-year-old German.

Police found scissors, the Polish man’s personal documents and a broken ballpoint pen in a garbage can near the scene of the crime. There were traces of blood on it.

The suspect, who is known to the police, insulted the police officers several times, as the federal police announced. A breath alcohol test on him showed a value of 0.27 per thousand. (tsp)
