Journalists from various media outlets, including six America Television workers, on Thursday during anti-government demonstrations unleashed across the country. Men and women from the press were shoved and hit of all kinds while reporting on the development of the protests.

Linares pointed out that many of the acid criticisms against journalism occurred during the decentralized councils of ministers that were held in various provinces in the interior of the country, with speeches through which the investigations against them were described as “lies”.
The former prime minister of Pedro Castillo, Aníbal Torres, also had critical words against the press and is particularly remembered during a speech at the Government Palace, which he later replied in the province. The then head of the Minister’s Cabinet never apologized for the incident.
According to the National Association of Journalists (ANP), during the protest on Thursday there were 16 attacks on journalists.
