A seven-month-old baby had to be transported this Thursday to the Río Piedras Pediatric Medical Center after suffering a skull fracture, after falling from his uncle’s arms, in the Villa Elena residential complex, in Ponce.
According to the police report, the minor’s mother indicated that her brother was carrying the infant, when he slipped down the stairs and suffered a fall.
The boy was transported to an area hospital, where he was diagnosed with a small skull fracture. In addition, it was reported that they found no signs of mistreatment.
The case is investigated as an unfortunate incident.
As part of the protocols, the Division of Sexual Crimes and Child Abuse was activated. Similarly, the Family Department was informed of the incident.
