If you’ve managed to overcome the Mainframe challenges of Recompile, get ready to fix the smartphones run amok in Backfirewall, an unusual puzzle platformer that drops players into the operating system of a crashed phone.

The new first person experience signed by Naraven Games and produced by All In! In fact, Games spurs platform enthusiasts to take control of a unlikely virtual update assistant of the operating system of a smartphone that does not want to restart.

The title takes on the contours of a ‘interactive tragicomedy’ to live by exploring the different parts of the phone to save the chatty operating system OS9 from deletion. Each virtual scenario includes numerous puzzles, each of which will involve the user in activities as varied as to include, for example, some night club parties rebuilt to check for fatal errors in RAM or long talks with the bureaucracy that controls Wi-Fi data traffic.

During the adventure it will therefore be possible to hunt down bugs or create new ones: the most curious will even be able to gossip with the most eccentric programs and listen to the stories told by the neglected Health app, the cheeky Photos and the insecure Social Media F.

Backfirewall is scheduled to launch in January 30th on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. At the bottom and at the top of the news you will find the gameplay video and the image gallery.
