The EVG’s 50-hour strike has been canceled. But rail customers still cannot breathe easy: many connections are said to be cancelled.

Despite the nationwide rail strike that was averted at short notice, there are likely to be significant disruptions to rail traffic in North Rhine-Westphalia on Monday (May 15). Deutsche Bahn expected every third train connection to fail on Sunday. There will also be restrictions and cancellations in regional transport.

Deutsche Bahn: reschedule 50,000 train journeys after strike cancellation

After the strike was canceled at short notice, around 50,000 train journeys nationwide, including the associated shift and deployment plans, would have to be rescheduled. This is a unique situation for Deutsche Bahn.

From Tuesday, all ICE and IC trains should be back on the road as planned. For trips between Sunday and Tuesday, the train raised the train connection on. (dpa)
