Marcos Alonso will most likely stay with FC Barcelona beyond the summer. ‘Mundo Deportivo’ report that the Catalans and the Spaniard are in advanced talks regarding a contract extension. Only details are to be clarified, including the contract period. According to the Spanish sports newspaper, the left-back should sign for at least two years.

The 1.89 meter tall Spaniard had already announced in November that he would like to stay with the Blaugrana: “I hope so, but it depends on if the club puts something before me. I will fight to stay here and help the team.” In the summer, Alonso joined Barça on a free transfer after six years at Chelsea.
