Patrick Pentz is happy with his move to Bayer Leverkusen. The Werkself winter signing said to ‘Sky Austria’: “It’s a lot easier for me here than in France. With Leverkusen you have a great city where you can work in peace and concentrate on football.”
In winter, his plan was to leave Ligue 1 “and find something new”. In his eyes, Bayer is a “Top 4 Club in Germany”. Accordingly, he had to seize the opportunity. Pentz also has words of praise for regular keeper Lukas Hradecky: “I now have someone in front of me with a lot of Bundesliga and international experience, I can learn a lot from them.” Nevertheless, the 26-year-old does not want to hide from Hradecky: “Of course it’s my goal to be in goal at some point.” The goalkeeper is tied to Bayer until 2025.
