There were no big surprises in the respective starting formations of Julian Nagelsmann and Christophe Galtier. The ailing Kylian Mbappé was initially on the bench at Paris St. Germain, at FC Bayern Jamals Musiala and Eric Maxim Choupo Moting were preferred to club icon Thomas Müller.
Bayern took the lead from the start, Paris limited themselves to counterattacks. Goal chances did not arise in the first half hour of the game. Both teams were careful not to make any mistakes defensively. In any case, this did not contribute to the attractiveness of the game.
Long scanning, few chances to score

No, the VAR intervened as Mendes received his pass from a minimal offside position. PSG got more and more chances, but in the end a Bayern defender or Sommer always had something against the equalizer. Shortly before the final whistle Benjamin Pavard received the yellow-red card after a foul on Lionel Messi (90. +2).
